What is Toaq?

Toaq (pronounced [tʰoaŋ]) is a constructed language based on predicate logic. It is also a tonal language — that is, it uses changes in pitch to distinguish grammatical meaning. That, coupled with its richness in tones enables it to express things very succinctly, because grammatical information (like part of speech) is largely expressed via tone rather than separate function words.

Some features of Toaq at a glance:

Its syntax is unambiguous and every sentence corresponds to exactly one logical form (i.e., one meaning)
It is regular — its grammar is free of exceptions
It is simple — it needs fewer grammatical rules than natural languages
It is flexible — one thing can be expressed in many different ways
